Palm Desert is developing a View Study to identify, evaluate, and protect the scenic views that help define our community's unique character.

The map below highlights two types of scenic views that are being evaluated as part of the Palm Desert View Study:

1. City Identified Corridor Views: Roadways identified by the General Plan and city staff that offer important scenic experiences.
2. Open Space Views: Parks, trails, washes, and other public spaces that provide views of the surrounding mountains and desert landscape.

As you explore the map, think about the views that are most meaningful to you.

1. Find your view: Zoom and drag the map below to find a location you know well.
2. Drop a pin: Click the "Add Comment" button, then click the exact spot on the map.
3. Tell us why: Select one of the following comment categories:
   1. 🟢 Favorite View: Tell us what makes this view special and why it should be conserved.
   2. 🔴 Threatened View: Tell us what is affecting the view and what concerns you.
4. Share a photo (optional): Share a photo to help us better understand the view from your perspective.
