Palm desert has a skate park but you have to be a resident and you have to pay to skate there and they require full pads which is good for the safety of beginners but for avid proficient skateboarders it’s not the norm for wear full pads and to have to pay to skate a park kinda defeats the purpose and the ethos of skateboarding it’s supposed to be about freedom and being able to skate at the drop of a hat for a lot of skateboarders it’s therapy it’s a way to escape and cope with their problems in a constructive productive way it’s a great way to stay healthy both physically and mentally a skate park would be a great addition a round flat bar a good ledge and a Manuel pad and a small quarter pipe is all we need to have a good time and destress

Construct bike paths around the perimeter and through the park. Add interesting bike racks. Develop safe off-road bike paths between the park and nearby neighborhoods, and across town to CV link. This could be accomplished by creating designated sidewalk bike paths.
